With a career that began in 1984 during the golden era of disco, Jose brings decades of experience, real-time mixing, expert song selection, and professional event knowledge to create celebrations that feel cinematic, energetic, and unforgettable.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Jose moved to the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area in 1994 and quickly established himself as a respected DJ, performing at some of the region’s most recognized nightlife venues. Over the years, he has entertained thousands of guests, developing a reputation for reading the crowd, building the energy, and creating moments that keep people on the dance floor.

Now based in Maryland, Jose continues to share his signature sound at weddings, private celebrations, and local venues including Quincy’s, Brews & Barrels, Vine Alley, and Kumbia in Rockville. His versatile style blends disco, funk, Latin, R&B, soul, old school favorites, Yacht Rock, and today’s hits into seamless, high-energy experiences tailored to each event.

All prices and packages include liability insurance coverage, as well as full setup and breakdown of equipment. We arrive two hours prior to your guests’ arrival to ensure everything is properly set up and a complete sound check is performed.

Initial personal wedding consultation to discuss your vision for your reception plus final planning meeting 4-6 weeks prior to your event date to finalize the details for your big day. At this meeting we will go over bridal party introductions, music selection, timeline and reception itinerary.

Fully customizable playlists including "Must Play” and “Do Not Play”. You choose the songs that you prefer your DJ to play or the songs that you think your family and friends might like as well. Also, you can also create a “Do Not Play List” of specific songs/artists or types of music that you prefer not to have played at your reception.
